For both areas like durable medical equipment, computers/smartphones/printers and single use packaging, the focus has been to decrease the time used even as the materials stay unbiodegrading and quickly used up. Recycling plants for what cannot be reused or switched (like straws) should be built with mandatory by industry & item planned use times with prescheduled increasing times of use.
