We've all seen the reports on racist Republican Judges that Trump is confirming. But even Democrat Obama's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had a bed quota for privatized prisons to keep 30k beds just for undocumented immigrants. We must move away from punishing law breakers with costly & dehumanizing prison time to moving to rehabilitation & restorative justice. This would plug up the poverty to prison pipeline & make sure millions of citizens are able to stay engaged in their community.
