The US, with by far the most nuclear weapons in the world, must lead on global nuclear disarmament. We must begin by disarming our current nuclear arsenal while engaging all other nuclear powers to take our lead. Then we need a new international treaty to begin universally and safely destroying all nuclear weapons globally. Finally we need to work with the UN to globally ban all new production of nuclear weapons.
