Outdoor Learning and Arts Easter week

Outdoor Learning and Arts Easter week

To create a week of outdoor activities for children of Rosneath that would be based in the natural environment around us. Activities could range from working with a local artist to make work from found objects on the beach to photography. This would be a pilot to explore how this could be expanded and developed for future years. We would look to use skills from the local area to run the sessions allowing for the children to also find out about the wonderful diversity of skills there are.

Points

Increase children's connection with local landscape and diversify their learning experience. We will work with the local schools to encorporate how it can connect with the curriculum. It will also be a chance to celebrate the local talent and how we can locally support exciting and diverse opportunities for children.

So much wildlife in the water, land and air round the peninsula that most of the kids are completely unaware of. Anything that helps improve this and instill ownership and responsibility for the natural environment is good.

Argyll and Bute TSI will hold a drop in help session on Wednesday (10th January) from 10am-12pm and 1-3pm in the Helensburgh office at 14 Colquhoun Square. If you would like help with the stage 2 application pop in and see us (we will have a cuppa and biscuits on hand too...)
