It’s not funny – we need the money!

Sandbank Senior Citizens Club is looking for help towards general running costs. Our main aim is to reduce loneliness and Social Isolation in elderly people living alone in the Dunoon and Cowal area. If successful the funds would be used towards hire of the Hall, subsidising the lunch club and subsidising our special themed events ie Christmas Party, Burns Afternoon and St Patrick's Afternoon. We also organise coach trips to the theatre, Christmas Markets, Pantomines etc.

Points

Our main aim is to reduce loneliness and isolation in the elderly. Our member numbers are growing and include members from Dunoon and wider parts of Cowal. We meet every second Thursday in Sandbank Village Hall. Prior to each meeting we have a lunch club serving a two course home cooked meal followed by live entertainment featuring singers, musicians ,dance groups, choirs etc. We are very proud to have won an Age Scotland award last year for our work in reducing loneliness in our community.
